Capricorn 44 has now concluded and we have received our final messages from both the Board President Helen Montgomery and Convention Chair Sam Haney Press.

Dork. Nerd. Geek. These words were insults before we accepted them. This is the age of geeks. From video games to science fiction, to Dungeons & Dragons and comic book movies in mainstream cinema, we are truly living in the geek era.
Capricon 45 will be held at the Sheraton Grand Chicago, 6-9 February 2005. Stay tuned for registration and badges.
I would like to thank everyone who attended Capricon44. Without you, our community wouldn't exist to serve or celebrate. I have appreciated your feedback and support throughout the past year. Also, I want to thank the Guests of Honour: K Tempest Bradford Ariela Housman Catherine Lundoff and Victor Raymond. Each of them brought with them their unique voices, skills and experiences, and I'm sure we all were enriched by their attendance. Finaly, I would like to thank all of the volunteers who made Capricon 44 a reality, including the Phandemonium Board and the Capricon 44 ConCom. They were instrumental in bringing my vision to life for this year and, frankly, they were the building blocks of this Convention where I was merely mortar.
