Dear Representatives of Our Energy Market. Our energy market has entered a process of maturation and development. It has completed the first phase in the growth process, investing 95 billion dollars over the past 15 years. This includes privatization tenders. This has triggered a transformation and change process in which financial sustainability, liquidity, and depth will be increased, and investments will again accelerate. After completing the first phase of growth, the Turkish energy market is now the tenth-largest energy market within the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation. The electricity market grew to the fourth position in terms of size and the natural-gas market to the third. The electricity market is one of Turkey's biggest value chains. It contributes around 36 billion dollars per year to the GNP, with an annual turnover of about 25 billion dollars.
The 28th ICCI International Energy and Environment Fair and Conference will be held in T.R. The energy sector will be brought together on 24 - 26 April 2024 by Sectoral Fair Organization and Kegenturk Association with support from the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and EMRA. It will be the largest international energy trade fair in Turkey and its surrounding geography where business meetings are held.
